APRIL BIJOUX  has launched its first jewellery collection in the purest tradition : a mix of refined shapes, a tribute to nature, with lianas that run around bracelets and wedding rings, and also a classic influence for these timeless jewels.

This is a good  surprise in the fine French jewellery where a brand stands out by creating ethical and ecological French jewels. They are eco-manufactured : APRIL is acting for a sustainable development by integrating responsible practices at all steps of creation. Indeed APRIL has decided to use bullion coming from recycling or responsible little mining communities that produce Ethical Gold.

 

What is Ethical Gold ? It is produced according to standards defined by the Alliance for Responsible Mining (A.R.M.) because mining industry is one of the most polluting by the use of chemicals like mercury.

Silver jewels of APRIL are created from recycled fine silver : Manganese silver. It is a luxury silver, up-market, whiter and richer in silver than silver 925. It doesn’t become oxidized and it doesn’t need a rhodium treatment.

The jewels boxes are exquisite : in recycled cardboard and paper, soft grey colour, closed by an organic cotton white petersham. Jewels lie on a little cushion of organic linen as for the purses… A global approach and really committed as far as carbon footprint : the jewels are made in workshops in France : a way of reducing transport charges, contributing to employment and ensuring the continued existence of ancestral know-how.

We have seen stars in her eyes : the designer Muriel Gibault has talked to us about her route that has led her to launch her own brand of responsible and ethical jewellery.
